In November 2023, STI Group’s Lauterbach site passed its audit for FSSC 22000 certification. This means that in future, we will be able to manufacture packaging for direct food contact in Lauterbach as well.

Quality, hygiene and safety play a key role in any food packaging, but are particularly important for packaging that comes into direct contact with the food. Such food-safe packaging may be used for foods such as baked goods, confectionery or fruit and vegetables. By applying an appropriate barrier coating the packaging becomes grease and moisture resistant, making it also suitable for the food-to-go sector. 

FSSC 22000 certification is a global standard confirming that a comprehensive food safety management system is in place. It is recognised by the Global Food Safety Initiative, which works to promote and ensure food safety for consumers worldwide.
