The Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) and
Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) give us a basis for
goal-oriented sustainable business.
Climate protection is one of our central action areas. Using the Greenhouse Gas Protocol accounting and reporting standards, we calculate our Corporate Carbon Footprint (CCF) every year.
Our company-wide CO₂ measure takes all Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions into account; Scope 3 emissions are calculated using the Corporate Value Chain (Scope 3) standard.
Calculating our CCF with our external partner, Nature Office, enables us to identify appropriate future measures for reducing our CO₂ emissions. This helps us to meet our own goals, and also to fulfil EU climate targets.
We are constantly increasing the use of renewable energies for production and are investing in our own photovoltaic power generation systems. ISO 50001-certified energy management helps us to continuously improve the energy efficiency of our manfacturing.
The Product Carbon Footprint (PCF) includes all greenhouse gas emissions caused by a product during different life cycle stages.
We measure all processes from cradle to gate – from resource extraction to primary product manufacture and individual packaging production, up to the point at which products leave our company.
