Act global, think local - STI Group harmonises JDE display range

2022-07-21 –

STI Group has harmonised the global display range of Dutch coffee manufacturer JDE. With just five modular display variants, this initiative has sharpened JDE’s local and global brand profile while saving costs, resources and effort.

JDE owns 50 international coffee and tea brands including renowned names such Senseo, Jacobs, Tassimo and L'Or. Optimising its POS enables the coffee specialist to showcase all its product ranges in a consistent, high quality way for new launches and retail promotions. ‘Harmonising our display range means we can design our POS even more efficiently. The fact that the displays are plastic-free and really versatile also takes us a big step closer to our sustainability goals,’ says Pauline Paris, Global Marketing Buyer at JDE.

Efficiency and sustainability through modularity

Made purely from cardboard, the modular solution enables JDE to create cross-category and cross-brand placements while saving resources and lowering costs. Displays are manufactured both centrally and locally: generic parts are produced in a central production facility and can be enhanced with locally produced elements depending on local market requirements. This minimises overproduction and makes transport more efficient, reducing the CO2 footprint of the POS program.

‘We develop tailor-made solutions for customers that create amazing retail impact while conserving resources. JDE’s new display range is a great example of how monomaterial cardboard solutions can help to achieve sustainability goals while also accounting for country- and retail-specific needs,’ explains Jakob Rinninger, CEO of STI Group.

Customisability ensures that the JDE point of sale range can be adapted for each retailer, helping to create more eye-catching placements in prime store locations. For example in a few simple steps, the standard display for 120 products transforms into a premium launch display for 80 products.

Less material, labour and time

Made entirely from FSC® corrugated material, these solutions look sophisticated in black yet are laminated and printed on one side only, using less material and simplifying production. The resulting displays are lighter, quick to assemble thanks to fewer components, and easy for copackers to fill. Delivering displays to retailers prefilled saves further time for merchandising teams or store staff.

Harmonising the entire global display range to just five modular solutions promotes simplicity, savings and sustainability, while ensuring brand presentation is specifically tailored to local retail contexts.
