FSC® stands for Forest Stewardship Council®. The FSC® label confirms sustainable forest management that is ecologically, socially and economically compatible.
STI Group was the first company in the corrugated cardboard industry to certify its German production plants according to FSC®, starting at the end of 2008. Its international subsidiaries and sales offices followed shortly afterwards.
The PEFC™ (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes) supports the preservation and ecological balance of forests; various raw materials used in the company bear the PEFC™ symbol.
All unavoidable emissions can be offset at the customer's request, within a framework of jointly selected projects. Offering climate-compensated packaging and displays is one way for STI Group to actively support customers to achieve their sustainability goals. The CO2 value is determined for each order and then offset via Climate Partner.
UN Global Compact
Since 2010, STI Group has been a member of the largest and most important global network for corporate social responsibility - the UN Global Compact. This strategic initiative enables companies to align their international business activities with ten recognised principles relating to human rights, labour standards, environmental protection and anti-corruption. They result from the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the International Labour Organisation’s Declaration on Fundamental Principles of Rights at Work.
