Strong impetus for retail sector: Trends, novelties, and the twin challenges of digitization and change management are occupying the toy industry. From 30 January to 3 February 2019, experts at the Toy Business Forum will be demonstrating how specialist retailers and buyers can capitalise on market changes.
Surprise me! From Point of Sale to Point of Surprise
On Thursday 31 January 2019, the focus will be on the future of physical retail in this age of digitalisation and online shopping. The tough competition can be offset by prioviding meaningful customer experiences.
The session kicks off at 1 pm with a lecture by STI Group Marketing Director Claudia Rivinius called ’Surprise me! From Point of Sale to Point of Surprise’.
’Shopping is an important leisure activity and shoppers love ’Retainment’, a blend of retail and entertainment,’ says Rivinius. ’Pop-up stores are the perfect platform for this: they appear in unusual places and encounter customers in a new context. New occasions, anniversaries and film releases are also great opportunities for surprising customers.’
