Sustained, Sustainable Success at POPAI UK & Ireland Awards
2024 has been another great year on the awards front, once again proving that sustainability doesn’t have to compromise brand impact and commercial results.
Of the 5 POPAI Awards that our UK colleagues at InContrast celebrated in October 2025, 2 of them were for Sustainability - a Gold and a Silver. Further evidence that our focus on supporting clients to meet their sustainability goals with resource-efficient designs made from recycled and recyclable fibres has paid off.
The winning displays were:
Ferrero Diwali Eco WOW Display - made with gold print instead of metallic foil, the judges commented: ‘A great double-sided traffic-stopping unit! All elements fully considered from design, manufacture, assembly and end of life without reducing the aesthetics of a well known brand.’ Awarded a Sustainability Gold and a Theatrical Grocery Silver.
JDE ‘Coffee Shop At Home’ - encouraging shoppers to recreate an authentic coffee shop experience at home, praised for being: ‘A very impressive, practical display designed with ease of assembly in mind. Branding and messaging are clear from every angle.’ Silver winner in the Theatrical Grocery category.
Unilever Permanent Pharmacy FSDU - a plywood display designed to remain on the shop floor and be re-dressed with cardboard cladding for each promotion, this was recognised for: ‘A simple design, hiding a lot of sophisticated thinking. Brings meaningful change to the sector.’ and, ‘A great concept to maintain long-term compliance and drive sales.’ Sustainability Silver winner with Bronze in the Pharmacy category.
The sustainable and commercial success of these displays follows September’s news that we have been awarded a Platinum Sustainability Rating at Group level on our latest EcoVadis audit, putting it in the top 1% of all companies audited for sustainability in the past 12 months.
