Investments in the UK
The STI Group’s InContrast site in Gillingham, UK, is continuing to expand its range of services. Investments in design and development, production, logistics and co-packing are creating new opportunities to provide comprehensive support to customers.
Since its acquisition by the STI Group in 2010, InContrast has been synonymous with creative and efficiently produced POS displays. In recent years, the site has continuously expanded its range of services to support customers across a wider part of the value chain.
Design agency, production and final display assembly
A key component of this is Studio Inc., InContrast’s creative hub. This is where concepts and designs for eye-catching in-store solutions are developed, which can then be implemented directly on-site. The close integration of creative development and production enables streamlined processes and efficient project management.
In display manufacturing, the new robot-assisted digital printer achieves a production output of up to 900 m² per hour with print sheet formats of up to 1,600 x 3,200 mm. Full automation eliminates the time-consuming process of manually changing print sheets, and production output has been increased by 70% compared with the semi-automatic solution previously used, whilst electricity and ink consumption have been reduced.
Following production, an experienced team at the site assembles the displays.
New: In-house co-packaging
With the new in-house co-packing facility, products can be packaged directly on site and prepared for onward dispatch. The service reduces interfaces and enables additional process steps to be handled from a single source.
