InContrast wins another 4 POPAI UK Award nominations!
Despite the challenges that Covid-19 has brought to the UK POP industry as a whole, with the national lockdown coming into force around the same time as this year’s POPAI Award entry deadline, the desire amongst brands, retailers and suppliers to be recognised for instore excellence remains undiminished.
2020’s award nominations include:
The premium Solait FSDU with its Love Island-themed base and header, designed to capture the hearts and minds of Superdrug shoppers as summer approached. A creative flatpack that converts into a curvy Wow unit with clever cost-free interior print, it promoted ‘Have fun in the sun’ in an eye-catching yet cost-effective way.
It just isn’t Christmas without Nutella. This was the sentiment behind InContrast’s next nomination, a sturdy Christmas tree display that sets up super quick from flatpack and carries even the heaviest 1kg jars. Perfect alone or placed as part of a ‘forest’, the twinkling white LEDs set off the snow-dusted tree design to ensure that no shopper missed their chance to stock up.
A pair of dramatic Superdrug displays also stood out to the POPAI jury, with their striking photographs of six different Hallowe’en looks. Each display carries the entire range needed to achieve three looks along with how-to education panels and QR codes for further details. Setting the standard for shopper engagement, these Get the Look displays drove thousands of QR hits and generated sales increases of up to 227%.
Moving into Wholesale, the Tic Tac Wow Standee demonstrated how to give a physically small brand a big presence in depot, without overdoing it on stockholding. Thoroughly attention-seeking with its bold colours, clear message and instantly recognisable giant Tic Tac packs, it enabled the tiny favourite to triple its sales.
Whether nominees have won bronze, silver or gold will remain under wraps until the final POPAI Awards night online reveal, which is due to take place on 3rd December 2020.
