EcoVadis: Platinum 2024

The latest EcoVadis audit has reflected STI Group's outstanding sustainability performance, with the entire company group awarded a Platinum rating. STI Group is currently the only mid-size German packaging company to receive this rating at group level, across all offices and production plants.

Platinum is only awarded to the top 1% of all companies assessed by EcoVadis each year. According to EcoVadis, it reflects the quality of the organisation’s sustainability management system and demonstrates a strong commitment to promoting transparency throughout the value chain.

Consistent commitment to sustainability

When joining the Science-Based Targets initiative (SBTi) in 2023, STI Group was one of the first medium-sized packaging companies to lead the way in climate protection. The group is committed to reducing its CO2 emissions measurably and transparently, in line with the Paris Agreement goals, complemented by relevant sustainability certification for each of its seven European production sites. In parallel, our Circular Innovation Team spearheads the development of targeted sustainable packaging solutions, bringing these innovations to market maturity.

At production and product level, key strategic measures have resulted in ultra-efficient, resource-optimised packaging solutions. These reduce CO2 emissions and support our customers in achieving their own sustainability goals, as well as providing differentiation in an increasingly conscious marketplace.
