Grease-resistant packaging for frozen cakes

A grease-resistant folding carton with strong stopping power was needed for the Czech frozen cake manufacturer Sweet Delight a.s. to enter the brick-and-mortar retail sector. The pack had to be food-safe and sustainable, and able to stand out instantly in the freezer. The result is an eye-catching paperboard folding carton in a striking shade of purple. 

Made from virgin fibre board, the carton is suitable for direct food contact and can be filled manually or automatically. A water-based barrier protects against grease migration and moisture ingress. It remains dimensionally stable along the cold chain and can be recycled within the paper stream. Low-migration inks, a water-based matte primer, and a UV gloss varnish enhance its premium appearance. Tear-open perforations and size-specific paperboard inserts deliver convenience and optimal product protection.
