The Dynamic Digital Label is not a variant of a classic QR code. It is the next functional step in packaging labelling. Instead of static content, the GS1 Digital Link connects each individual package with digital, updatable information. This is made visible by a 2D code and technically possible by the right system.

Laser-sensitive varnish in offset printing and CO₂ laser marking directly in the line create a serialised GS1 Digital Link QR code: no label, no ink, no additional material. Why "dynamic"?


Static codes cannot be changed after printing. Dynamic digital labels are flexible. The content can be updated digitally without changing the print. This makes the packaging controllable even after production.
