Pooled Print Expertise

Be it offset printing, flexographic printing or digital printing – the STI Group has it all and all within a radius of just 50 km in its three plants located in Vogelsberg. Having heavily invested in the latest printing technology, we can offer the benefit of our expertise in all these processes to both our display and packaging customers.

As to which process is best suited for your product or your requirements, that depends on factors such as artwork, quantity, materials, area of application, quality and legal requirements. Our print experts consult with you to determine the most efficient technology for your needs. Integrated prepress ensures optimal preparation of data for different processes. Not only does this save time and costs, it also ensures the best print quality.

Competency Centre for Offset Printing in 36341 Lauterbach

The right format for any print job: The Lauterbach facility has printing presses ranging from IIIb format (740 x 1040 mm) to VIIb format (1200 x 1620 mm). All machines are equipped with colour control systems. High-performance curing units enable powderless printing. We can also ensure suitability of the products for direct food contact with the use of migration-harmless inks and varnishes. A wide range of finishing options with foil and varnish effects and printing on foil-laminated cardboard complement the portfolio.

Competency Centre for Flexographic Printing in 36034 Alsfeld

Our Alsfeld facility specialises in high-quality direct flexographic printing on corrugated board. The high-quality direct flexographic printing machine has a maximum sheet size of 1300 x 2100 mm and can print up to 7 colours in one run. Simpler 2-colour print images are produced inline – i.e. printed and die-cut in a single machine run.

Competency Centre for Digital Printing in 36355 Grebenhain

Digital printing is the best option for the cost-effective production of small to medium print runs and customised display components. With the installation of a large-format, high-quality digital printing press, the Grebenhain facility was upgraded to a competency centre for digital printing. With a print area of 1.60 x 3.20 m, the new machine can print up to 900 m2 of cardboard or corrugated board per hour. For other substrates or foil-laminated sheets, the facility has other digital printing equipment.

The five other plants of the STI Group in Greven, Neutraubling, Gillingham (UK), Rumburk (CZ) and Kecskemet (Hungary) are also equipped with the latest print technology and are networked with each other. This ensures that the final print quality of jobs that are split for production at multiple facilities is identical. This also ensures a uniform colour code for displays that are created combining components from offset printing, flexographic printing and digital printing.
