POPAI D-A-CH Awards: STI Group wins six nominations for outstanding displays

The POPAI D-A-CH Award nominations for 2016 have been announced. A distinguished panel of judges met at EuroCIS in Dusseldorf to select the most successful POS campaigns from the past year. Six entries from STI Group were nominated to receive an award.

Flexibility wins for Borco and Unilever

A display kit for Borco-Marken-Import Matthiesen, which combines standard components with brand-specific elements is a finalist in the Beverage and Tobacco category. Its adaptability allowed the spirits manufacturer to create eye-catchingly different but cost-effective displays for its range of brands.

Unilever also benefited from STI Group’s hallmark flexiblility with a clever display solution in the 'Beauty and Fragrance – temporary' category. Display trays, side cladding, panels and inserts can be combined to create a versatile range of looks.

Vehicles deliver results at the POS

A corrugated Mojito Truck replica was at the heart of STI Group’s nomination in the 'Shopper Marketing' category. Part of a 360 degree marketing campaign, this promotional display tapped into shopper behaviour and vividly brought Pernod Ricard’s campaign to life in stores.

Meanwhile the appealing sledge display for Hasbro, made from mixed materials, won recognition for the way it engaged target shoppers and secured a nomination in the 'Sports and Toys' category.

Shining innovation and creativity

In the ’Innovation’ category, STI Group’s patented display base with built-in support scored highly. As the support automatically locks into position when the display is erected, it saves time as well as resources. The advanced base design was used in the Shopping Queen display for Piasten GmbH.

A contender for the competition’s top spot must surely be the special anniversary display for Original Ricola Swiss herb drops. Made from gold-printed silver foil cardboard to create a dazzling display in store, this impressed judges to earn a nomination in the 'Health – temporary' category.
