Five STI Group entries nominated for POPAI D-A-CH-Awards
The excitement was palpable as the POPAI D-A-CH Award nominations were announced for 2017, at EuroShop in Düsseldorf at the beginning of March. Five STI Group entries were nominated for these most coveted POS industry awards.
The respected panel of independent, expert judges was made up of retail, research and sales professionals and judged 63 entries in 14 categories. They rated each entry for its innovation, aesthetics, compliance with retailer requirements and impact on purchasing behaviour.
STI Group’s nominated solutions ranged from permanent displays to limited edition mailing packs, 3D corrugated board decorations and material-efficient, multi-brand display concepts.
PowerBar’s promotional packaging served as a limited edition mailer for the company’s 30th anniversary, which also saw the launch of two new products. Sent out across Europe to journalists, bloggers, athletes and customers, who all served as brand ambassadors, the pack helped to build product awareness. Designed to be a mini replica of a traditional oven, complete with opening door, the pack triggered sufficient interest to kick-start a successful viral marketing campaign that generated many authentic product reviews.
The themed POS concept for Leibniz Keks’n Cream, comprising a pallet skirt and a column with an integrated tester platform scored top marks. Complete with LED lighting, the premium launch standee for video game DisHonored 2 (ZeniMax Germany GmbH) is also set to win one of the top spots.
A permanent display for the product launch of teeth whitening pen Signal White Now Touch (Unilever) is the third award-worthy solution that the jury singled out. And last but not least, the sustainable display concept for different chewing gum variants from Wrigley was also nominated for the overall sustainability award.
Awards ceremony in summer
The suspense is not over yet. STI Group will discover its final tally of bronze, silver and gold Indians when the winners are announced at the awards presentation ceremony in Düsseldorf on 3rd July.
