Shopping at the Future Store
Labels that display the proper drinking temperature for a given wine, interactive POS solutions and mobile shopping applications – these were just a few of the innovations awaiting visitors to the Future Store at the Hungarian "Foodapest" trade fair.
This forward-looking exhibit was once again organised by the In-Store team and Trade magazine. Guided tours were held to give visitors a chance to inform themselves about the latest developments and trends.
One POS display developed by the STI Group, part of a creative campaign for Heineken's Strongbow Gold cider, proved to be an especially strong draw.
While many of the display's most pertinent innovations came behind the scenes, including its ease of setup and simple placement, the animated shelf divider drew tremendous attention for its ability to tell an entire story. The motif was created using an EL sign pushed lengthwise into the shelf compartment and proved highly effective at activating shopper interest. The use of an animated poster as a shelf divider gives a jolt of life to the entire product group, even as the shopper internalises the primary placement location for the trendy drink.
Endre Fabian, managing director of the STI Group in Central Eastern Europe, was pleased with his team's success in making an attractive contribution to the Future Store. "The presentation of our solutions in the Future Store underscores our expertise as providers of creative POS solutions – both at the international level and at the local level through our Hungarian team".
The implementation of the creative shelf divider isn't just limited to the Future Store. It was taking its place in numerous Tesco stores throughout Hungary as well.
