It was officially announced at the beginning of December that STI Petőfi Nyomda can add three new worldwide recognitions to its list of awards. As in previous years, WorldStar awards are presented only to those products that have had prior recognition in a national competition.

The gift packaging of Törley champagne, having gained the special award of the HUNGAROPACK competition, the self-adhesive labels for Gere wines and the Knorr mug-shaped display have won the hearts and minds of the international jury.

The WPO attracted 243 entries from all over the world and 137 were selected as WolrdStar winners. Among them were seven products from four Hungarian companies. The success of STI Petőfi Nyomda was remarkable from many points of view. First of all, last year’s success of winning a WorldStar Award for the packaging of Angelli Cioccolato was tripled. Also, regarding the number of prize-winning products, the Hungarian plant of STI Group was the most successful company among the enterprises of the packaging industry.

The award ceremony will take place during the World Packaging Days in Split, Croatia between the 6th and 9th of June, 2012.
