Corporate Social Responsibility
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a term used to describe a company's societal obligations to the environment, to society and to the greater economy.
Our goal is not just to offer our customers a high-quality portfolio of products that meet their needs right now. We want to be there for them in the future as well. Because some resources and products are growing scarce even today, we have instituted conservation-minded procurement policies and support our suppliers in fulfilling internationally recognised standards.
In the environmental area in particular it's clear how intertwined economic and ecological concerns can be: an economical and efficiency-minded approach to limited natural resources ultimately also helps us fight rising operating costs.
Responsibilities for employees and society
Social engagement and extending a helping hand have a long tradition at our family-run company. We are of the firm conviction that it's the people behind a company that make it successful. With this in mind, social responsibility is a fixed component in our corporate culture.
Company responsibility also means taking responsibility towards our staff. If we want to cope with the present and future challenges, we need well-trained, experienced, motivated and committed staff members. This is why the STI Group invests extensively in training and continuing education measures as well as in-house programmes for cultivating young management talent.
