Raw materials
- Packaging produced within the STI Group is produced exclusively using renewable and/or recyclable materials.
- The share of recycled paper in the raw materials is being constantly increased, and currently stands at over 75% of the raw materials being used.
- The paper and card waste generated during production is funnelled back into the recycling circuit to produce new paper which can then be used to process paper and board. This process can be repeated up to seven times.
- Alternative corrugated board qualities can be used to optimise qualities of the materials being used (such as defined BCT values), while also reducing scrap rates through a limitation of the material qualities.
