Employee and Social Projects
The physical and mental fitness of our employees is important to us. Which is why we have initiated measures at all of our locations to promote the general well-being of our workers.
This includes back strengthening programmes, courses to help quit smoking and school holiday camps for children of employees that provide not just the benefits of organised activity, but also the chance to learn about their parents' workplace.
Participation in regional and cross-regional running events or the annual benefit cup for Home for Kids e.V. help keep employees fit and strengthens the team spirit.
As a mid-sized company competing against large international corporate groups, our best chance to get ahead is through a strong focus on the customer. This in turn is most effectively nurtured by strengthening the skills and commitment of the people behind the STI Group brand.
The STI Group provides in-house continuing education to ensure that employees possess true mastery and understanding of the products and workflows within the corporate group. This personnel development strategy means a constant stream of support and educational offerings for STI Group's employees and has led the STI Group to invest extensively in training and continuing education measures as well as in-house programmes for advancing its staff.
STIplus, a forward-looking staff development programme, is an important component of this. The packet of measures is aimed at identifying exceptionally talented employees, providing them with ongoing skills training and opening up attractive individual career prospects to encourage them to stay within the corporate group.
This support for potential stars within the company represents a crucial cornerstone of the STI Group's HR development strategy. Individual opportunities to gain new qualifications are supplemented by the mentoring system that ensures employees are supported equally in both their specialist field and on a personal level.
STIplus is also targeted at fresh A-levels graduates looking to go to university and those who are already studying. Business management, design and mechanical engineering students are eligible for internships and support with project and degree dissertations.
Graduates can take part in a 12-month trainee programme that provides insight into various areas of the company and that is helpful for the later transition into professional life.
The STI Group Academy is also available at all locations and for employees from all divisions with an extensive range of course options on various themes.
