DuPont Grand Prix Cyrel 2010
The STI Group once again drew plaudits at this year's DuPont Grand Prix Cyrel. In the category of "Flexo direct printing on B flutes" the STI Group scored a big first place with a display solution for Duracell. more

17 Awards for STI Lilyfield
This years high-flyer of the 2009 New South Wales Print Excellence Awards is STI Lilyfield! Of the 20 categories STI Lilyfield were eligible for entry in 12 were won medals, 8 of which were gold. “It’s about taking on challenges and succeeding” That’s how Ian Kingham sums it up. “In the past, quality was perceived as expensive, but today we operate a lean highly efficient business that enables us to uphold our quality mandate and remain competitive. That’s what makes STI Lilyfield stand out from the crowd.”

This packaging product earned the bronze lion in the "Direct Lions" category and reflects a very clever idea. A facial tissue box was developed to resemble the book itself. Lift the top, though, and you have convenient access to facial tissues – each with a quote from the book printed on it. more
Kompack Award 2009 in Austria
This beeearilliant POS solution for Kung Fu Panda took home the KompackAward from the A.Pack in Salzburg. The honour was awarded based on a vote by visitors to the fair. more
ProTypographia Special Prize 2009 in Hungary
This folding box for Szamos Marzipan received a special prize at the ProTypographia Award in Hungary.

Labels produced for Philips in STI's factory in Hungary earned the "Outstanding Quality Award" at ProTypographia 2009.
POPAI Award Poland 2009
The Lübbe suitcase took home the coveted bronze POPAI India in the "Publishing and Leisure" category. The realistic replica of an old suitcase garnered a great deal of attention and lent a nostalgic air to the countertop display.

In the "Products for Daily Use" category this display for Mattel was tapped for the Bronze POPAI. The triangular design of the display lets consumers access its products from all sides. The unusual form and 360° topper ensure optimal product presentation and visibility within the market.
FTA Print Awards 2009
The STI Group was honoured for its outstanding print quality with the FlexoTech Award 2008 in the category of corrugated cardboard direct printing. The jury awarded the prize for the work by the Alsfeld-based team of flexo and corrugated cardboard experts who successfully transferred a challenging print motif onto a conventional B-flute without losing the image's lustre.
EFTA Print Awards 2009
This year the international association honoured a piece of shelf packaging developed by the STI Group for Wrigley’s Spearmint with prizes in two different categories. There was a Gold Award for the "Line/Screen Coated" category and a bronze award in the "First Time Entrance" category. The shelf-ready packaging for Wrigley's Spearmint demonstrated that even flexo-printed products can feature high quality finishing effects while maintaining a similar standardisation of process quality as found in offset printing.
Red Dot Design Awards 2008
The Eco Blister for Osram convinced the judges in the "Communication Design – Packaging Design" category and earned a reddot design award.

This folding box for a BIC shaving kit earned accolades at both the Worldstar of Packaging Awards 2008 and at Hungaropack 2008.

This wallet-style packaging for the pharma field won both the Worldstar of Packaging Award 2008 and the Hunagropack 2009. Wallets are a particular form of folding box that follows the mechanics of a wallet in form and functionality. It reduces the amount of materials used in packaging by up to 20%.

This counterfeit-proof packaging scored on two fronts: at both the Worldstar of Packaging Award 2008 and the Hungaropack 2008. An OVD (Optical Variable Device) foil and ICI (Invisible Constant Information) technology serve as indicators that the goods are genuine. The OVD foil includes hologram elements, microprinting and hidden graphical elements and lets consumers identify forgeries on their own.

The KID promotion box secured both the Worldstar and Hungaropack 2008. The unusual hexagonal shape ensures that the promotional packaging from Douwe Egberts stands out at the POS. Despite its special contours, the integrated automatic floor panel means that the folding box is easy to assemble. The rear-glued window provides a view of the product and enclosed promotional items.

This folding box for energy saving bulbs is made of recycled card with offset finishing. The automatic base panel keeps assembly simple, while the pre-machined Eurohole hangers ensure optimal retail presentation. It claimed a Worldstar of Packaging Award 2008 and Hungaropack 2008.

European POPAI Award 2008
Everyone wants to address consumers across multiple sensory channels, including a linking of online and offline content. This presentation display developed for Guitar Hero convinced the jury at the European POPAI Award 2008.

The round elegant shape of the display is based on the shape of the product and enables access to the goods from several sides. The round shape of the centre column has a rotating arrangement that can be adapted for two different types of loading.
Starpack Award and iF Packaging Award 2008
This transport packaging developed especially for stemware won the hearts and minds of jurors at the Starpack Award in the UK. It earned the highest marks in the "Transit – Business to Business" category. The solution also took home an iF Packaging Award 2008 in the Packaging Design and Function category. The novel, patented inserts for transport packaging make it possible to despatch several different types of stemware, from champagne flutes to red wine goblets, using one single insert.

Folding Star is a packaging design that retains its pre-opened shape, can be assembled and filled by machine and is adaptable for different capacities.

This product called for the existing AXE bodyspray line to be displayed together with a new series of antiperspirants, yet maintain its own distinct positioning. The display offered access to the product from all sides as well as modular filling options for added efficiency.
EFTA and FTA Award 2008
Competency in all aspects of flexo printing: the effervescent shelf-ready packaging for AHOI fizzing powder stands out for its 4-colour flexo printing with iriodin spot coating and a UV coat. The packaging's luminosity was heightened by enhancing 45 of the 90 shiny spots with iriodin pigments, providing a 3D effect.
